MOTD | Copper Smokey Eye Inspired By Suhay Salim

Last Sunday, my mom and dad got invited to their friend's son wedding so I tagged along. Since the reception was held on the evening, I thought why not wear something a bit dramatic? I've had this Orange/Copper Smokey Eye in mind for quite along time, I just didn't know where I should go with it.

I used the same eyeshadow palette from Inez (reviewed here) as what Suhay Salim used in her tutorial, and I really love the finish look! It ended up being unseen the second I open my eyes though #asianeyelidproblems. I also used false lashes for the first time that night, you know, the lashes that I bought for my graduation but left unused because the glue was dried. The lashes seemed really big on the packaging, but once I put in on my eyes it looked so pretty, fluttery, and natural, I AM OBSESSED WITH IT! I will be definitely getting more of lashes with similar type/style. So here's the detail of the look...

Mom was concerned about me wearing lashes for the first time, but I told her that the lashes are totally lightweight so it didn't bother me at all. It's just I might put less glue than I supposed to around the corners, so it wore off especially on the inner corner of the right lashes. I'm glad it didn't reach the point where it just fell off instantly. It survived the whole time, and I took them off right away after I got in the car.

I'm sorry that I didn't post as many as I wanted to this week. I have been applying on soooo many job vacancies it made me sick of seeing my laptop, but when it's for watching movies I can stand a whole week I guess haha. I hope I can get a job soon so I can buy more make up with my own money! #goals. I hope you guys liked this post, thank you so much for reading! :D

  2. You look absolutely beautiful, Sitha, great job with the makeup and you're way better than me because I am completely clueless with falsies! LOL! Also all the best with your job application, I know how stressful it can be but with time, you'll get what you want. It took me 5 years and 3 jobs to finally land my dream job, lots of tears in between but her, it was worth it in the end. Hugs!

  8. The #asianeyelidproblems hashtag gets me at instant. ;P I have small crease area and my eyes are almost hooded, if I'd to be honest, I have often found myself frustrated with the makeup because of my eye shade.. I mean like I barely see the eyeshadows work I put onto the eyelids unless I close my eyes. Haha, but you gotta do what you gotta do! xD I seriously need to polish my makeup skill especially for smokey eye look. >_<

    1. Well you see that I have a very small space on my lids too, so you can't see much of the eyeshadows there. Now I'm thinking about getting the eyelid tape like the Korean girls used to create fake double lids. Me too! us with small lids needs extra work for smokey eye right?! (TT_TT)
